ServBook ("we," "us," or "our") operates a booking management platform for service businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using ServBook — whether as a business owner or as a client booking an appointment — you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
We collect the following types of personal information:
- Name — your first and last name, used to identify you within the platform and in booking records.
- Email address — used for account creation, login, and service communications.
- Phone number — collected at the point of booking so we can send SMS appointment reminders on behalf of the business you are booking with.
- Booking data — appointment date and time, service type, staff member selected, and booking status (confirmed, pending, cancelled).
We do not collect payment card numbers. Any payment processing is handled directly by the business you are booking with or through a third-party payment processor subject to their own privacy policy.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your account and authenticate you securely.
- To provide the booking service — including displaying your appointments to the business you booked with and to you.
- To send SMS appointment reminders before your scheduled appointment time.
- To allow business owners to manage their client lists, staff schedules, and booking history.
- To respond to support requests sent to support@servbookapp.com.
SMS Messaging
By providing your phone number at the point of booking on a ServBook-powered booking page, you consent to receive SMS appointment reminders from ServBook on behalf of that business. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your booking activity. Reply STOP at any time to opt out of SMS messages. Reply HELP for assistance.
Opting out of SMS messages will not affect your ability to make or manage bookings. You will still be able to view your appointments through other channels.
We Do Not Sell Your Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing or commercial purposes. We may share information with service providers who assist us in operating our platform (such as cloud hosting and SMS delivery), but those providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to us.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you wish to delete your account and associated data, you can request deletion by contacting us at support@servbookapp.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days. Note that some booking records may be retained for a limited period after deletion to fulfill legal or contractual obligations.
Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed credentials, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
Children's Privacy
ServBook is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of ServBook after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
